Have you ever wondered how much money Marissa Mayer (Yahoo), Sundar Pichai (Google), Elon Musk (Tesla), and Safra Catz (Oracle) make annually? We did a little digging and found some salary information for tech’s top heavy hitters.
Mayer was hired to run Yahoo in 2012. Mayer is one of the highest paid CEOs in the tech world.

Pichai was appointed CEO of Google in 2015. After heading up a product management team for one of Google’s clients, Pichai was promoted to CEO. According to Business Insider, Pichai pulled in roughly $100.5 million in 2015 – but this estimate is based on stock options and other additional payments.

Google CEO salaries are always kept private, but this is the best guess out there for the time being.
The CEO of Tesla is a bit of a mystery. Not only is he an eccentric personality, but Musk’s salary is somewhat convoluted. Musk was legally entitled to a salary of around $37k last year, but he didn’t take it. Musk doesn’t pay himself a salary, per se, but he does take plenty of company options.
Goals: Musk’s monetary intake depends entirely on Tesla’s achieving set milestones. So far, Musk has reached more than half of the milestones he needed to reach by 2022 – he gets 50% of that payout, so he’s on pace to make $1.6 billion by the time 2022 does roll around.
Net Worth: $11.7 billion
Catz started out at Oracle in 1999. In 2001 she joined the company’s board of directors, and it wasn’t long (2004) before she became president of Oracle. Catz has been CEO of Oracle since 2005.
Annual Salary: $53.2 million
Net Worth: $525 million
